In the year 2000 the Swedish government came to an agreement to make Sweden accessible for all. This decision signalled the commencement of a nationwide project ‘From Patient to Citizen: A national Action Plan for disability Policy’. Though the country still has several challanges to overcome as regards accessibility we think you will be refreshingly surprised at both the access levels and the attitudes of the Swedish people to the need for accessibility for all. Accessible Sweden's unique Accessibility pack As part of our unique access service, all Accessible Sweden holidays come complete with a detailed accessibility pack, tailored to your chosen locations and activities. The accessibility pack will include detailed information the access levels of the public transport within your chosen location in addition to access information on all the main attractions and amenities in the area. We also include sections on recommended accessible venues such as restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping centres and activities. The accessibility pack is created from a range of sources including local information, official Swedish access organisations and most importantly, customer recommendations. We are constantly searching for new information and our staff in resort always have an trusty tape measure close at hand in the hopes of spotting a new venue while out and about.
